Web publishing
An editorial process for publishing to the extranet leaves law firm's clients better informed
Our client is a leading global law firm using Documentum as its core content management system.
The client needed to provide an easier way for users to contribute large quantities of material for extranet publication in a consistent manner.
Following the publication of the Higgs Report on corporate governance in the United Kingdom, our client developed a website to encapsulate the recommendations made for use by its clients. The volume of content related to this necessitated a simple and controlled method for content contribution.
Aptus implemented Documentum Web Publisher and created web pages using Microsoft active server pages. Web Publisher templates were deployed in order to provide a controlled framework for the entry of data to be subsequently displayed on the extranet web pages.
In less than three months, our client had a new online service up and running.
The solution permitted standardisation of web pages thereby ensuring brand integrity and a common look and feel. Benefits also included a much greater control over content and a significantly reduced time to publish web changes to the extranet.
